Veganmofo: A call for help

I have a few other posts in the work, but for dinner tonight I threw together some white beans and green stew with red quinoa in the pressure cooker. However, the beans have a slightly bitter taste and I am looking for suggestions on how to counter act that imbalance so that we will hopefully have stew for tomorrow.

Any suggestions?

Sugar. My mom used to put a bit of sugar to balance any bitterness.
